The land hermit crabs found in Tobago almost always use the shell of a Caribbean whelk, they are found on some beaches or forested floor near the beaches. As they grow they will leave their shells and look for another that has been discarded by a previous occupant.⠀

We have found them at Kiligwyn wetlands close to the beach, Mt Irvine Beach and Arnos Vale Beach.⠀
