Pigeon Point Beach
Pigeon Point Beach is definitely one of the best beaches in Tobago. This beach is perfect for swimming relaxing and watersports. This beach is very safe for children to play on and offers a great place to snorkel. Pigeon Point Beach has many popular amenities, watersports and amazing panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.
Entry into Pigeon Point is 20 TTD. It’s amazing to just rock back and see the different aqua colors and the famous Pigeon Point jetty (a great opportunity for photos). You can rent 2 beds and an umbrella for 90TTD and easily purchase food and drinks at 2 main restaurants. Boat trips to the Buccoo Reef, Nylon pool and No Mans Land are possible from here (it is well worth it!).
Englishman’s Bay Beach
Englishman’s Bay has a rainforest backdrop that matches the bay’s emerald green waters. Tobago’s golden-sand beaches are often deserted, (especially this one!) which is a testament to the island’s true beauty.
This quiet stretch is reached through an almond tree cluster and a bamboo archway. Eula has a lovely little restaurant where you can buy her dish of the day or a cold beverage.
This palm tree lined beach with a rainforests hillside spectacular backdrop has clear water and is ideal for snorkelling or exploring the marine life on the rocky headland that juts out from the sand.
Store Bay Beach
Tobago’s second-most popular beach is Store Bay Beach located near the airport at Crown Point. The golden sand drops into the clear, crystal-clear water here and you will find many glass-bottom boat operators that offer Buccoo Reef tours.
There are lifeguards on the water, as well as showers and toilets for a small fee. You can also find food and drinks vendors. This beach is known for its accessibility, cleanliness, safety, convenience, and beautiful water.
There are many vendors selling beach chairs, jewellery and other beach items. From here, you can take a glass-bottom boat tour to Buccoo Reef or the Nylon Pool. There are also many food outlets and excellent craft shopping.
Other favourites of ours include Mount Irvine Beach, Buccoo beach, Grafton Beach, Castara, Parlatuvier, Black Rock and Arnos Vale all for different reasons but we will save those for another blog post!
